Changes are undoubtedly coming to Wattpad with the news that Amazon is launching their own “Wattpad-style” publishing platform this summer (*see link to article at bottom of post). As such, Marie and I want to make sure our followers can find us and our works if anything happens. We’re slowly building up this website to that end. I know things have been quiet lately on the blog but real life has been busy. We’re still here!
✍🏻 Updates for lemjo61/Marie: Haven is ongoing, of course. Exciting news!! Marie is planning to write a new part for her “Hunting in the Mist” series which will be published here on the blog! Stay tuned for details on that. She also hopes to be able to squeeze in some more original short stories.
✍🏻 Updates for Sun/Elisabeth: I removed “Su Su’s Promise” from my SunInTaurus fanfic profile. I felt guilty having it sit there and not knowing when, or even if at this point, I was going to get back to it. I actually pulled it almost a month ago and no one noticed, which is the universe kind of telling me something I think, lol. Therefore my new idea for a YHBQ AU story is back in my treasure chest of waiting-to-be penned tales and will likely see the light of day as an original later down the line.
With the crazy real life-month April has been, I chose to withdraw from the Open Novella Contest. There was no way I was going to be able to finish “The Twenty-third Hour” by the May 4th deadline. I do plan to continue it, under a different tentative title “Midnight Calling” with a revised synopsis. What do you think of this new cover? Bonus points to anyone who can spot the hidden image!
“Sea of Clouds” is still ongoing. Should Wattpad pull the plug on things, I will publish it here on the blog instead. Let’s see what happens.

Ahh..I was wondering why Susu’s Promise disappeared in reading list. This explains it. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that you’ll publish it after Sea. Many thanks for the update and also on the article on the Amazon platform. It will be interesting how it all pans out. I’m looking forward to the update of both yours and Marie’s stories.
I’m crazy busy at work at the moment. Working my notice in my current job before starting on the new one in July.

There’s a lot of behind-the-scenes talk as to what’s going on with Amazon’s new platform and what it may spell for the future of Wattpad. It’s why Marie and I are working on our plan B… just in case.
How exciting but also hectic to be preparing the way for a new job —while writing a new fanfic at the same time!! Kudos to you. July will be here before you know it! ❤️
